Mark your calendars! We are headed to Fredericksburg, Virginia, to the Possum-bilities shop!!! Come have fun with us on Sunday, August 7th from 1pm to 3pm, and meet one of our favorite rescue opossum ambassador friends: Sweet Pea from Awesome 'Possumz!! Sweet Pea is tailless—a No Cob No Prob pro!! We'll have Possums Are Not Cute! books for signing and personalizing, and lots of activities, art, merch, and festivities for opossum lovers of all ages.
Besides being the rescue behind the Possum-bilities store, Awesome 'Possumz provides educational programs and saves countless opossums each year through their rehabbing and advocacy. They have an amazing team of licensed, nonreleasable opossum ambassadors, including Sweet Pea. (Meet them on Facebook and Instagram!)
If you are in Virginia, Maryland, DC, or anywhere near Fredericksburg (and even if you're not but could be), we highly encourage you to come!! If you haven't yet gotten to meet an opossum in person, now's the time. The SessieSquad is staying home to hold down the pillow fort in NOLA, but Sweet Pea is as polite and perfect an opossum as you will ever meet. She's actually even politer than us so this is really a great opportunity. We—and Sweet Pea—are so excited to see you!!!
